Is it true?!!!
How do you all know this?!!!
Extremely curious about it. Who'll be the watch person then?!

interesting story.
this fellow needs encouragement to go to the police.
the co was later promoted to do .
Gather up the facts, lawyer up and go to the legal authorities.
If this is true, not just a figment of your imaginative drugged-out thoughts (you all have to admit, he does look a bit stoned, koo-koo, while telling his story without a name of the perpetrator), put yourself together and go the cops, go to the press, go to the courts. Do something!
But just coming to this venue, filled with mostly JW haters, impostors and liars, is just not that effective in getting justice for yourself, young man.

hey folks, does anyone know which wt article talks about how babies will be killed as in the ones that were killed at sodom and gomorrah and the flood?.
i'm drawing a blank completely what article it was in.. thanks in advance everyone!.
It'll happen just like any other extermination of evil events that the Bible recounts. Now is the time for all, in case of minors, then it's up to their parents or guardians to make the right choice while there's still time.
Jehovah is a God of perfect justice; he hasn't changed. Whatever happens in armageddon, who ever is killed, will be plenty just as the executor of this can read the heart and see into circumstances that we cannot comprehend. Of this I'm sure, even if it implicates me for lack of faith.
So, you all trust in God and stop this silly obsessing over stuff one cannot control whatsoever.

does anyone have any interesting observations since the book study arrangement in private homes finished?.
are jws happier with the extra night off?
do they miss the book study?
That arrangement was long overdue. My family for sure welcomed the freedom. I noticed many more happy for the combination of meetings into just one evening.
Great idea!!! Many thanks!!!

Watching this video makes me think that he seems stoned, paranoid, and out of touch with reality; might have a bit of a mental health issue by his behavior while telling his story.
The fact that he doesn't even give the CO's name makes it pure slander, at best. Can be a completely fabricated story.
If he's so sure of this, he should've gone to the authorities. He can still do that now, so that the appropriate disciplinary steps can be taken against this person who allegedly abused him.
So, young man, if you're not lying or fabricating this story, if this is true, lawyer up and take action against the Organization.

didn't know the other host of the view was also a former witness.. http://www.jw-tube.com/videos/38/abc-the-view-latoya-jackson-jws.

I really go with that view point... Children of JWs must be given their choice, once they're of a reasonable age, early teens is good for me, to either continue or decline becoming a JW; without the consequence of the shunning and other tactics to sort of force them into the fold.
Having said that, of course, I do admit the the children that I've known to get out sure have 'thrown the baby out with the bath water', really gone off the deep end and made such a horrible mess out of themselves and their lives. It sure would've been better if they'd stayed with the religious education and followed accordingly.
Just reporting what I've seen.

bring back the memories.
"I missed you last week!" - Said when one misses just one or two meetings. So fake!!! I hate it!!!
I never, ever, never say that to anyone!!! Nor do I ask for anybody's wife/husband/kid(s) when I don't see them at the meeting. It's none of my freaking business!!! If they're sick or in any other conditions that calls for a visit or a brief phone call, etc., I'm sure they'll say it before the meeting ends. Give me a freaking break!!!
I don't miss many meetings, but when I do, I've become a master at just smiling politely and giving my usual "Hi, good to see you" greeting to the person. They just stare at me dumbfounded, I guess waiting for an explanation that never comes.

suggestion:.
1. limit assignment and term of elders and pioneers.
they should rotate periodically.
I would truly love to see the bethelites/circuit and district overseers/special pioneers and missionaries step into the real world, hold a job in order to support themselves and help their families, deal with 'non-believers' on a daily basis; you know, live a 'real' life, with its struggles that test one's faith, patience and endurance.
I bet you a large percentage of them wouldn't make it out here in the real world, without the perks of $$$ from the congregations to cover their every need, plus a new vehicle every 3 years, health insurance, and the 'men worshippers' in all congregations that roll out the golden carpet for these humans when they visit, pouring at their feet all their best material offerings.
NO WAY THEY WOULD MAKE IT OUT HERE!!!
I know that won't happen. The religion, any religion for that fact, will not get rid of its greatest recruiters and motivators of the masses to give more and do more, more, more!!!
Oh no, Mr. Hyde is coming out in me!!!

hello,.
i have been reading this board for some time and would like to ask: why you come here and post?
what do you all hope to accomplish by being here?.
I find myself here mostly as a form of entertainment; sometimes, depending on days when I experience a foul disposition, I use this venue for venting; it also serves as a form of amusement and amazement at how some here are stuck in this eternal and ever-increasing pity party going on in their lives.
Definitely entertaining for the most part at this time.

i'm sure it's impossible to know for sure but, in people's opinions, what would be a rough estimate of how many people are still in because of fear of losing loved ones?.
I take a good look around in the congregation I attend, with quite a numerous attendance, and I can see that at least 1/2 the people wouldn't be there if not for the social atmosphere and the fact that the religion is a family affair of sorts; specially the young people. They're just so out of it and you could read it in their faces that there's some other place where they'd rather be.
I can certainly say that I used to be one of those "trapped-in" people, but as I've matured, grown older, my faith in this religion has increased. Now I find myself happily adjusted, and understand clearly, although not always agree, the meaning and purpose. My rebel years are long gone!
